Sedona and Flagstaff Smooth Water Rowing Tour A day rowing down the mighty Colorado River is an experience of a lifetime. On your full day rowing tour on the Colorado River from Sedona or Flagstaff, you'll travel from the base of Glen Canyon Dam in Page, Arizona and traverse the last remaining Colorado River stretch of Glen Canyon. This intimate encounter allows you to commune with the mighty Colorado River and this beautiful Canyon in all of its grandeur. Your Colorado River Rafting Rowing Tour starts off with a scenic and narrated ride from the Red Rocks of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon (from Sedona - one of the top 10 scenic drives in America) and through the towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff. After meeting our guests from Flagstaff, your Colorado River Rafting Tour will take you past the dormant volcanoes which make up the San Francisco Peaks and through the Navajo Nation. Throughout your travels, you'll receive informative and entertaining narration about the areas through which you pass from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable tour guides from the Sedona and Flagstaff areas. Upon your arrival in Page, Arizona, you'll drive through a spectacular 2-mile tunnel through the cliff walls of Glen Canyon, right to the base of the Glen Canyon Dam. Here, you will meet your experienced Colorado River tour guide and board your 6-man row boat. You will be led on a breathtaking journey as you row down this peaceful and beautiful stretch of river. Your experienced Colorado River tour guide will regale you with stories of the human and natural history, wildlife and geology of this remarkable region. You will make a stop and take a short walk to Ancestral Puebloan Petroglyphs that are approximately 2000 years old. Continue on down to "lunch beach", where you will enjoy an extraordinary, deli-style river lunch. After your bellies are full, you will make your way down the Colorado River to the Marble Canyon area at historic Lees Ferry, complete with cabins of the early settlers. Here, you say goodbye to your Colorado River Tour Guide, are met by your original Sedona Tour Guide, and reboard your luxury mini-coach for your return trip to Sedona and Flagstaff. On your return trip to Sedona or Flagstaff from your Colorado River Rowing Tour, you'll pass by the Echo Cliffs and western edge of the Painted Desert as you re-cross the Navajo Reservation for a stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post. Shop for all sorts of Native American arts and crafts and visit The Gallery, home of many fine and rare pieces of Indian Arts and Crafts.
