Sedona and Flagstaff Grand Canyon Deluxe Tour This is the ultimate when it comes to full-day luxury coach tours from Sedona or Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon. Your Grand Canyon Tour starts off with a scenic ride from the Red Rocks of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon (one of the top 10 scenic drives in America) and towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff. After meeting our Flagstaff guests, we drive past the dormant volcanoes that make up the San Francisco Peaks, on our way to the Navajo Reservation. We'll make a stop at the Historic Cameron Trading Post, originally built in 1916 and one of the finest places to shop for authentic Native American souvenirs. You may also visit The Gallery, home of many breathtaking pieces of fine and historic Native American Arts and Crafts. You'll view the western edge of the Painted Desert and drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge on your way to the Grand Canyon. We then spend approximately 4-hours in the Grand Canyon National Park (entrance fees are included), and you'll get your first views of the Grand Canyon and Colorado River at Desert View. Climb up to the top of the Watchtower Observatory for magnificent panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. The Watchtower Observatory is one of the crowning achievements of architect Mary Jane Colter. As we make our way along the rim of the Grand Canyon, we'll make a stop at Grandview Point. This transitional point between the East and South Rims of the Grand Canyon offers both the open views of the Colorado River Gorge afforded at the East Rim, as well as the butte-filled views for which the South Rim is famous. Next, take a leisurely, ½ mile walk along the South Rim where you'll take in the breadth of the Grand Canyon as you gaze 14 miles across to the North Rim. You'll visit the only point where you can see both Phantom Ranch as well as the Kaibab Suspension Bridge. You'll be able to view over ¼ of the Grand Canyon from here. You will then enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch served to you right at the rim (weather permitting) or at the Mather Point Interpretive Center (during inclement weather), or you may upgrade your lunch and eat at the 5-star El Tovar Lodge. (Note: due to the length of time required for lunch at the El Tovar Hotel, the rim walk may not be available to our guests that select the lunch option at the El Tovar). At the Grand Canyon Village, you'll have time to visit and shop at the many historic buildings and museums, such as the Hopi House, the rustic El Tovar Lodge, the Grand Canyon Railway Station and Kolb Studio. You may also take in some wondrous views of the Grand Canyon looking down onto the Bright Angel trail and Indian Gardens. You may even get a glimpse of the mules heading out of the Grand Canyon or the incredible California Condors! As we leave the National Park we'll stop by National Geographic Visitor Center in Tusayan, where you'll be able to shop, explore the exhibits, or upgrade to view the World Famous IMAX feature about the Grand Canyon. For the ultimate experience, consider giving up time at the Visitor Center and taking an incredible Helicopter Tour over the Grand Canyon! Throughout your journey with us, you'll enjoy interesting, informative, and entertaining narration from your guide. Our most popular way to take our guests to experience the Grand Canyon. |
