Grand Canyon White Water Rafting
Are you ready for a thrill? Take the only one-day Grand Canyon white water rafting tour on the Colorado River available from Sedona or Flagstaff!
From Sedona, you'll start by traveling through the Red Rocks and Oak Creek Canyon of Sedona and the towering Ponderosa Pines of Flagstaff. After a brief stop to meet our Flagstaff guests, we'll continue on past Historic Williams on our way to the Hualapai Indian Reservation. Throughout your travels, you'll receive informative and entertaining narration about the areas through which you pass from some of the most experienced and knowledgeable tour guides from the Sedona and Flagstaff areas.
Your Colorado River White Water Rafting Tour then takes you down the only access road through the Grand Canyon, right to the edge of the Colorado River. You may even spot the Wild Donkeys that live in this part of the Canyon.
Upon boarding the custom-built, 8-passenger, motorized raft, your experienced Hualapai Indian River Guide (The Hualapai have been guiding these tours for over 30 years) will lead you on a 5-hour rafting journey of the Colorado River. You'll carve your way through the Grand Canyon, raft the Class II-IV white water rapids on this portion of the Colorado River (12 sets of rapids) and take a brief nature hike into a secret side canyon to the pristine Travertine Falls. After enjoying a picnic box lunch on the banks of the Colorado River, where the Blue Heron are know to nest, it's time to re-board your raft and set out again for more beauty and wildlife spotting opportunities.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife in the area as you relax on a more gentle stretch of the Colorado River. You'll pass through the 4,000 foot cliff walls of the Grand Canyon, stop and explore a secluded wilderness area, and may even catch a glimpse of the Desert Big Horn Sheep or Peregrine Falcons in the area.
On your return back from your Colorado River Rafting Tour to either Flagstaff or Sedona, you can relax, take a nap, or simply enjoy the music we'll play for you on our comfortable touring van.
